NOTE:

  • All award categories apply to nominees who have demonstrated the qualities required in their respective categories within the last 12 months.
  • Nominees must include supporting evidence, testimonials, press, articles and any references to support their entry.
  • The judges score each category out of a total of 100 points (points can only be allocated in whole numbers).
CEO of the Year
This category rewards the most prominent woman CEO of a leading company from any industry in the Middle East. Nominees are judged on the basis of their achievements, active engagements, leadership qualities, strategic management skills and other inspirational stories that may have led to the company’s growth.
Entrepreneur of the Year

This category honours the Middle East’s leading female entrepreneur who has launched and established a profitable business venture. Nominated businesses will ideally have achieved significant success during the last 12 months. Entrepreneurs are judged on the innovation of their business idea, long-term business strategy implemented, entrepreneurship qualities and the impact of the business on the overall industry.

Best Women’s initiative (private sector)

This award recognises the best private sector initiative that helps women in the UAE to succeed in different elements of their lives. The initiative does not necessarily need to be for professional women.

Best Women’s initiative (public sector)

This award acknowledges the best public sector initiative that provides women in the UAE with an opportunity to thrive in all aspects of their lives. The initiative does not necessarily need to be for professional women.

Rising Leader of the Year

This award recognises the most promising young woman leader who achieved significant success during the past year through her involvement in an organisation or fresh new initiative. The nominee’s direct contribution will be given emphasis – along with her leadership skills and vision for the initiative.

HR Director of the Year

This award recognises outstanding contribution by a male or female HR Director in developing or supporting policies in their organisations that support gender diversity in recruitment and talent management.
